Adding to their personal joy, the couple also revealed their joint business venture as co-owners of Proov, a diagnostics company founded by Amy Beckley, PhD. Proov specializes in affordable, medical-grade, at-home tests designed to assist individuals in conceiving more efficiently by identifying potential fertility issues. Notably, the company played a role in Ashanti’s pregnancy reveal, which was jointly shared by ESSENCE on social media.
This marks a significant life milestone for Ashanti as her first child, while Nelly will be welcoming his fifth. He is already a father to his daughter Chanelle, son Cornell Jr., and two adopted children, Shawn and Sydney Thomas, following the passing of his sister in 2005 due to leukemia.
